SUP for 60 Oakley International Managers

On April 23,2012 Oakley International’s worldwide marketing team gathered in Dana Point for a full day of meetings and activities. The marketing team attendees came from the United States, Europe, Asia, and South American . The managers spent most all day in meetings before the fun began.
At 5 p.m., 60 team members came jogging down the hill from the Marriott, Laguna Cliffs to meet the Westwind Sailing / Paddling crew at the OC Sailing and Events Center for some fun and exercise. Westwind staff spent the next hour and a half StandUp paddling with the group while training everyone in proper stroke technique and safety. The 60 enthusiastic paddlers took quickly to the sport and comfortably paddled all the way around the Harbor Island.
“What a sight to see! - All 60 Oakley marketing team members taking over the harbor’s waterway on a perfect, windless evening!” said Queenie Kontoes, Westwind Paddling Instructor. “The paddlers were escorted with six of Westwind's best and not one paddler fell into the cool water that evening.”
“Oakley International has a fun group of marketing representatives who laughed and joked with one another all evening long. What a pleasure it was to paddle with them”, Westwind Program Director, Steve Serafino commented after the event. “It was logistically challenging to coordinate all the equipment for the group to paddle simultaneously. A huge shout out and THANK YOU to Mike Bill at SUP ATX who provided the additional equipment to help make the event a smashing success!”
