We’ve developed this program to provide on-the-water therapy and to teach safe boating and sailing to individuals with special needs.
Learning to command a vessel is very empowering for people with developmental or physical challenges. We employ adapted kinesiology specialists and certified sailing instructors to ensure that challenged students find ways to succeed and overcome the obstacles involved in learning to boat safely. WW Instructor Eric Loss Sets Sail Around the World
On Sunday, November 6, under sunny skies and light breezes, Westwind Instructor Eric Loss hoisted his sails and embarked on his 'round the world journey.
Eric began sailing with Westwind when he was 8 years old and joined us on our Jr. Sailors Club maiden voyage to Catalina. Little did we know then the impact that sailing would have on his life.

Open SUP & Kayak Practice
Ages: 12 - adult (under 14yrs. w/ parent)
Cost: SUP: $25 hr., $35 1.5 hr., $40 2 hr. Kayak (single or double): $20 hr., $30 1.5 hr.
• Mon - Sun: 10 am - 3 pm. Weather and conditions dependent.
Stand Up Paddle Fitness
Ages: 14 yr. and up
Cost: $15 + $5 per session or $135 + $50 for a 10 session pass card
• Tues: 8:30-9:45 am.
• Wed: 6:30-7:45 am.
• Sat: 8 - 9:15 am.
Jr/Teen Sailing Club
Ages: 10 - 17 yrs.
Cost: $40 club registration fee (Sept. - Jan.) + $15 per activity
• Saturday: 10 am - 12:30 pm
Westwind Sailing Club
Ages: 18 yrs. and up
Cost: $40 club registration fee (Sept. - Jan.) + $20 fee per activity
• Saturdays 10 am - 12:30 pm., Sunday: 10 am - 1:30 pm
